Overcoming an addiction isn’t a simple process. It’s more accurate to describe it as a journey that starts with an individual realizing the consequences of addiction - and accepting there is a need for treatment.
Different treatment options for individuals on their journey to recovery:
Detox screenings are done on an individual basis to determine the best method of detox. While some need 24 hour monitoring, quite a few can be done on an ambulatory basis - meaning a detox treated through medication on an outpatient basis without being medically monitored for 24 hours. If you or a loved one are in need of a detox screening, contact Care Addiction Center.
2. Inpatient Treatment
Inpatient or residential addiction treatment is a very high level of care where patients stay in the facility for 30-90 days. It includes 24 hour medical care and emotional support, but can be disruptive to daily life. When considering inpatient treatment or outpatient treatment, it’s important to know that inpatient treatment needs to be medically necessary and meet criteria for this need for high level of care -sometimes insurance won’t cover inpatient treatment.
3. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a middle ground between being inpatient and being outpatient. PHP also known as Day Treatment, allowing patients to attend twice a day for a total of 6 hours a day for a six-week program while returning home at night.
Through this program patients are able to receive the intensity of a day treatment program while still remaining to spend evenings at home. Clients are also able to gain further resources and skills to help them battle their addiction in supportive and encompassing way.
4. Intensive Outpatient Program
In an outpatient rehab program, the individual lives at home and comes to the addiction center for treatment. During COVID-19, therapists and counselors at Care Addiction Center are providing Virtual Therapy with video conferencing allowing participants to see peers and the facilitator in a virtual room and ask questions, get feedback, and participate just as if in person. This environment allows flexibility for an individual to stay connected with family and hold a job while receiving help.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) generally is thirty sessions total - six week program. Care Addiction Center's IOP program offers a wide array of modalities that are here to fit your recovery needs. Lasting sobriety requires a fully articulated plan with interventions that assist your recovery.
5. Outpatient Program
Outpatient Program is usually part of a step down in care from the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), however some patients find this level of care more suitable for their current needs and schedule. The outpatient program consists of attending two days per week and allows patients to maintain work schedules and home life commitments while still receiving support and education.
Aftercare programs are ongoing, follow up services for individuals who have completed a chemical dependency program and have 30 days or more of sobriety. Patients remain connected and accountable in a lower, less intensive level of care while continuing to learn skills and discuss how to remain sober.
Aftercare is tailored to the needs of each individual while still gaining awareness of potential problems they could face early in recovery.
