Alcohol Rehab & Substance Abuse Treatment

Struggling with addiction is hard, and admitting you need help is often difficult. Understanding what is involved in treatment can help overcome some of the uncertainty or fear in seeking recovery.

Signs of Addiction

An individual can get addicted to anything - the easiest is caffeine, followed by nicotine. But how do you know when the addiction is to the point you need help? Below are a few questions to ask yourself:

  • Have family members or friends ever showed concern about your drinking or using habits?

  • Do you find yourself spending a lot of time drinking, using or recovering?

  • Do you have trouble setting limits and sticking to them?

If you answered yes to all these questions, it might indicate you are addicted to a substance. If you want to know if you need help for an addiction problem, schedule a screening assessment with one of the knowledgeable and compassionate counselors at Care Addiction Center.

How Long Is Alcohol Rehab & Substance Abuse Treatment?

Lasting sobriety requires a fully articulated plan with interventions that assist your recovery. Each patient we serve has different recovery needs. Your counselor will work with you and your support system, and make a plan that accommodates these needs. At Care Addiction Center, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is thirty sessions total, a six week program. Following is an Aftercare Program for patients to remain connected and accountable in a lower, less intensive level of care with weekly meetings promoting healthy discussions while continuing to support your recovery. Aftercare is generally six months. Rehab length varies patient to patient. Every treatment plan is catered and individualized to a patient’s needs. Some need 6 weeks while others need 6 months. We are here to work with you and your family to have the best outcome for your recovery.

What Happens In Alcohol Rehab & Outpatient Treatment?

At Care Addiction Center, alcohol rehab and outpatient treatment consists of entering into a six week Intensive Outpatient Program designed to teach, educate and equip patients with skills and strategies we have found over 10 years that are highly effective and allow clients to remain clean and sober. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is thirty sessions total, a six week program. Each session is led by a certified and compassionate counselor with lecture topics, skill building, cognitive behavioral therapy, and different exercises. A wide array of modalities are available to fit your recovery needs:

  • Psycho-educational Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Didactic Behavioral Therapy

  • Process Groups

  • Expressive Therapy (Music Therapy & Yoga)

  • Community Support Programs

  • Family Therapy

  • Cinema Therapy

Support groups outside the treatment center are also an important part of recovery, allowing individuals to share personal experiences and provide emotional guidance when cravings strike. Several community support groups are: AA, Refuge Recovery, and Smart Recovery.

Can You Make Someone Go To Rehab?

In the state of IL, the answer is no - not even if the person is a minor and you are the parent. However, if an individual has a DUI the courts can require rehab in order to get a driver’s license back. Similarly, a loved one might demand you need to go to rehab or get out (of the relationship, home, etc). While nobody can force an individual to go to rehab, at Care Addiction Center we have seen clients that were resistant at onset - but once they entered, got comfortable, learned, adjusted and adapted to a sober and clean life - they liked their new life more than their using life.
