Individual therapy is a joint process between you and your counselor. Some common goals in individual therapy can be to inspire change or improve your quality of life.
Individuals may seek individual therapy for help with issues that are difficult to face alone. Individual therapy can also be referred to as psychotherapy, psycho-social therapy, talk therapy, and counseling. Individual counseling can help people overcome obstacles to their well being. It can also increase positive feelings, like compassion and self esteem.
Individuals in therapy can learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching their goals. Most of our clients find they enjoy this therapeutic journey of becoming more self aware.
